Why do you need an Operating System?

• It will be used to control interaction between components,like CPU, Memory, hard drives,keyboard and mouse.
• OS is a common platform for running all the application software.
• To work on the PC we need a way to interact with the system using the “User Interface”-UI is provided by the OS.
